Having coffee today with a journalist friend and was telling him about a story I've run across about how business is done in the semiconductor industry and some revolutionary approaches that may be forced into play.  I said I was looking forward to getting a writer to do the story for New Tech Press as soon as we had clearance to do it.  He said, "Why don't you write it?"

"I'm not a really a recognized journalist so I don't qualify to write for New Tech Press."

"B------t!  You're better than 90 percent of the people I know."

Still not sure I should do it, but considering what we've gone through to get NTP up to speed, it was nice to hear it.

  1. Since 9 out of 10 bloggers have no particular expertise to call upon, why should you need any bona fides to write a story for your own NTP?

  2. Perception is reality. Someone who has been publicly writing for a recognized publication for the past 10 years has more street cred to the reading public than someone who has been running a PR form for the past 10 years... I've been writing most of the stuff my clients have been putting out that entire time.

    But then, that may change.
